Buenos Aires, December 15 (NA) – President Javier Milei repudiated the Islamic terrorist attack that occurred in Australia, warned about the advance of antisemitism on a global level, and vindicated the so-called 'cultural battle' during a speech at the annual dinner of the Faro Foundation.
'Antisemitism advances and transcends the Jewish people itself: it is a direct affront to freedom itself,' stated the head of state, while expressing his solidarity with the Jewish community in Argentina and in the world.
Milei also questioned the woke movement and assured that 'for years it demanded to look the other way' in the face of acts of violence and extremism.
In this sense, he affirmed that freedom is 'the most sacred value of our Western culture' and that terrorist attacks are perpetrated by 'implacable enemies of freedom.'
'This is an honest government,' Milei stated. 'This is the best stabilization process in history, not only of Argentina, but of the world. When we said that we were going to put the public sector in order in a year, they said that was impossible and, at best, one point per year could be achieved, and that we were not going to be able to finish the term in fiscal balance.'
'The left knows this and has known how to present their lies as appetizing,' he added.
Furthermore, he questioned the management of Alberto Fernández, previous administrations, and the economists who criticized his government policies.
'They thought they were so intelligent and so creative that they believed they could beat reality itself, biased by their fatal arrogance. They believed that unbridled public spending, financed with monetary issuance or debt put at the service of stimulating consumption, was a way to hack the system, creating a wealth-creating machine as if life were a game of Sims,' he specified.
Milei indicated: 'A liberal government is dedicated to leveling the playing field and respecting natural rights. Afterwards, let individuals act.'
'In six months we closed the quasi-fiscal deficit, which nobody included in the campaign. We did it,' he emphasized.
'Our duty is to clearly warn that what is wrong, is wrong,' he added.
On a regional level, the President congratulated José Antonio Kast, whom he defined as 'the newly elected president of Chile,' and considered his victory 'a signal that South America has awakened and is once again living under the ideas of freedom.'
Additionally, on economic matters, the head of state affirmed that 'macro is the sum of micro, unless you are an economist of hyper-super-fourth category and have been left in time,' and responded to opposition criticisms: 'If they criticize me for not looking at micro, what they mean to say is that we are an honest government.'
In this framework, Milei praised the Minister of Economy, Luis 'Toto' Caputo, to whom he publicly thanked and defined as 'the best Minister of Economy in history.'
During his intervention, Milei highlighted the role of the Faro Foundation as 'a true bastion of the cultural battle' and especially thanked its president, Agustín Laje, whom he described as 'one of the great architects of the cultural paradigm shift,' in addition to recognizing the intellectual Axel Kaiser.
'Our weapons are our ideas and the trench is in every area of daily life,' pointed out the head of state, and concluded: 'Today an idea does not need to be true to go far, but attractive.'
'And, for better or worse, we took 12 million people out of poverty,' he illustrated.
Finally, he denounced that this year, the Government had to endure eight months of 'permanent attack' on the economic program and that there was a 'speculative attack' of 41,000 million dollars regarding the dollarization of M2.
'However, look how strong the program is that is standing and today Argentina is growing again again,' he closed.
